I Hate being wrong.... I fucking hate it. Faith in humanity is a lost cause. You live your life by certain principles... certain truths.... you think the sky is always going to be blue. That water will always be wet. That no matter what, some things are solid. I fuck this up all the time. Numbers, faces, places. Fuck it. Fuck it all. Some things are better left on the other side.... the dark side. We try and pull them into the light, kicking and screaming, with the arrogance to think it was ever our choice to begin with. And then we have the nerve to watch the fish flopping around on the boat and wonder why it isn't happy being under the warmth of the sun. Damn it. Up is never up. Right is never right. And "perfect" is just a myth thats beaten into us to make the fall down the mountain that much more of a disappointment. I've never felt so far away from someone as when I'm sitting right next to them. And the disintegration of time is falling on the deaf ears of the betrayed chefs, who's primary dish is always served cold. It slops over the side of the bowl, destroying the precious fabric of hearts, minds, and souls. Today will never come again. The next is being assembled on a production line somewhere on a little green marble that is flying into the onyx where we scream in silence

So.. every Tuesday night the crew goes over to Loaded Joes coffee shop/bar for trivia night. Eagle Vail Ink Lounge donates a gift certificate as the second place prize and we just kick back and have a great time. We've been doing it since the summer, but I honestly can't remember if I've posted about it. This is Big Willy F. He and I used to work at Nicks Nightclub together. It took me a year and a half but I finally caught up to him. He's now working at three different clubs around the valley. He stopped in the shop today... I think I might be giving him some new ink soon. It crazy how the world spins. He was a huge influence in my life back in the day. Between him and our friend Jackson I was assured a laugh. I remember sitting at the top of the stairs of Nicks on the Fourth of July and just watching him heckle passers by. I learned that where ever you think the line is don't just cross it, sprint across that mother fucker. Will was kind of like one of my big brothers at the club. He taught me a great deal about the club game. I'm not really big in the scene now, but I'll bet my last dollar that he's still one of, if not the best bartender in this valley.

We went down to Denver over the weekend. Closed the shop for two days and booked out of town. We went to see a stand up comedian named Dane Cook. You'll reconize him if you from Comedy Central and the new movie "Waiting". Tommy Boy also picked up his new Mini Cooper. Cute... Not really my style... but great for him. Tons of fun. I needed a break.
